In addition to [Column.Name,System] and [Column.Index,System], can we also get access to more metadata information like the Column Data Type that is presented in Tables debug mode?

I know we have ISNUMERIC and ISDATE and perhaps there is a way to pull this from SQL, but I think more column metadata built into the engine would be a good thing for code generation capability.

thanks

Bump! Is this possible even?

I was thinking if one knew the DataType of a particular column, you could probably use a COLUMN template in combination with a few {IFFs} to generate a DatePicker control for Date/Time fields or CheckBox controls for Boolean fields.

Or is something like this planned for the QuickBuilder already?

Hi Eric,

This feature was introduced in listX version 1.9.7.1 with this following syntax:

<tr> {COLUMNS, "<th>[COLUMN.TYPE,SYSTEM]</th>", "", False} </tr>

Regards.
