I need some clarification on how action:output works.

I would like it to output a csv file (complete) and save it in the portal and then be able to email the file to me.

This is what I am experiencing..

Else If '[Action,QueryString]' = 'Export'
* Output: Output Data To Complete Delimited delimited with , and saved as test.csv

The action fires but no file is created on the drive regardless if I specify something like [*PORTALPATH][aUniIdent,A].csv which works great in import csv routines or if I specify a physical path. No output is created.

If after triggering the action I then choose "View Options" from the listX menu the output is then actualy generated to the screen. Very odd.

Output csv and output csv (complete) only output the visible page on the screen. Is this due to the fact that I am using custom paging? I have about 2 million records and the standard paging is not possible.

Also It appears that I cannot attach a file to an email.. Am I incorrect?

What am I missing? Do I combine the action:output and the action:file to get the output saved to disk automatically?

Suggestions?
